The founders of Arctic Spas set out to design and make a hot tub that did not fall apart and cost a fortune to run in our extreme Canadian climate. The extreme temperature change from winter to summer, and the bitter cold of winter was just too much for hot tubs to handle. They didn’t last and the cost to keep them hot was ridiculous. But hot tubbing is fun, relaxing, a great place to visit with family, and they feel great! It’s a great luxury that everyone should aspire to own. People who live in places with cold climates should also have this great home appliance available to them, one that is built to last and operate efficiently.
This was the inspiration for Arctic Spas brand hot tubs.

The innovations continue to this day. For example, Arctic has also become leaders in water treatment. The SpaBoy salt water system automates most of the water treatment, making ownership so easy. No more test strips, no more chlorine tablets. The pH and sanitizer levels are displayed on your phone and adjusted automatically by the SpaBoy system!

The EY Entrepreneur of The Year® Awards was held in Calgary, AB last night and it is with great pride to announce owners Darcy Amendt, Dennis Kellner and Brent Macklin won awards in the category of Manufacturing and the Prairies Region.
Blue Falls Manufacturing Limited, the manufacturer of Arctic Spas, is proud to be a recipient of a Canadian Industry Program for Energy Conservation (CIPEC) Leadership Award, supported by the ecoENERGY Efficiency initiative.
This award celebrates the achievements of Canada’s industrial companies and raises awareness that energy efficiency is good for business and the environment.
Arctic Spas Production Manager, Marcel Roles, was winner of a 2005 eAward in the category “Business Results-the Bottom Line ” for his dedication to building an efficient and effective production team.
In 2005 Arctic Spas was nominated in six categories for the eAwards, an employee-recognition program offered by Alberta Venture magazine. We were selected as finalists in four categories, an unprecedented level of recognition.

Arctic Spas has once again been recognized earning a place in the prestigious PROFIT 100 list of Canada’s Fastest Growing Companies. This award, presented by Profit Magazine, recognizes Canadian companies that have demonstrated solid financial growth over the previous business year.
This is the fourth consecutive year for Arctic’s inclusion in the Profit lists. We appeared at 166th place in the 2002 listing, were featured at 87th place in the 2003 listing, made a big splash at 77th place in the 2004 listing, and came in at 90th in 2005.
Only a handful of companies have demonstrated this level of sustained growth, and no competing Canadian spa company can match this record.
In 2003 we were part of a feature article in PROFIT Magazine on Successful Global Businesses for our hot tub ventures in Europe and Australia.
