HOTTAP Essentials Kit

Portable Hot Water Kit

Wherever you can take an LPG bottle, you can take the HOTTAP. It’s the world’s smallest water heater in its class. And enjoying a HOTTAP shower is as easy as flipping a switch.

Meet HOTTAP V2

Built to home standards, HOTTAP features class-leading specs throughout. It’s actually a real, hot shower – with over 15h run time on a single gas tank. Even in winter, HOTTAP’s 37,500-BTU burner will give you a steaming hot shower at the flick of a switch. And with up to 6 litres per minute of flow, it’ll get through any head of hair.

Easy as that.

Fast setup

Quick-connect gas, water in and water out.
Done.

Full control

Choose your exact temperature with simple adjustments.

One touch operation

Simply flick the switch and hot water will start flowing.

Use it your way.

The new HOTTAP Comes with a modular showerhead that can be used handheld or turned into a ceiling-mounted shower with the switch on the wall.

Simply flick the switch and the hot water starts flowing. It’s also got a faucet attachment for use with a sink, included in your Nomad Kit.

Dishwashing

A proper home-like sink & faucet. Dishwashing duty never looked so good.

Tent Integration

Separate the hose from the handle for a ceiling-mounted shower with a convenient wall switch.

Magnet Mount

Stick the shower head to any metal surface, or hang it from a hook. It’s got all the options.

Rich Spray

The shower hose has been designed to provide a rich spray at all flow rates and angles.

Taps into any water source

Use your HOTTAP with a jerry can or throw the sturdy two-stage water filter into the nearest creek or lake and pump water up to 30m to your campsite.

Two-Stage Water Filter

The water intake features a two-stage filter that will remove everything but the very finest sediments, and it’s sturdy enough to be thrown into shallow rivers and creeks.

What’s more, it’s easy to clean. No tools required, simply untwist the cover and pull apart, then flush out with water before putting back together.

Long Distance Feeds

The powerful pump self-primes to 1.8m and can push water up to 30m up an incline. Now you will finally be able to truly connect to nature.

The pump is rated to IPX3, so you can leave it out in the rain, hail and shine. And don’t worry if there’s a limited water supply – the pump won’t be damaged by running dry.

We’ll even throw in the kitchen sink.

Unpack a proper kitchen sink, complete with a pivoting and tilting faucet, drain and dish racks solid enough to support cast-iron pots.

Sounds like a crap load of stuff to carry? The sink doubles as a handy storage container for the lot.

Frequently asked questions

How to power your HOTTAP

HOTTAP runs on two D-cell batteries. The batteries supply power to the ignition and LED monitor, and will last 3-6 months (depending on use).

How to power your Joolca pump

The Joolca pump runs on 12.0V power and can draw up to 5.8A per hour. Use the included cigarette socket cable, you can plug your Joolca pump directly into the cigarette socket port inside your car, or into the cigarette socket port of your portable power station.

Gas requirements for HOTTAP

HOTTAP uses gas to heat up water and can run off 9kg (20lb) BBQ gas bottles for 15 hours of continuous use.

Does HOTTAP draw water by itself?

HOTTAP does not draw water by itself as it does not have a built-in pump. You will need a pressurised water source to feed water into the HOTTAP. Consider our 12V pump, which is included with the HOTTAP Outing and HOTTAP Nomad.

Do I have to protect HOTTAP from the elements?

HOTTAP was designed for portable outdoor use. Your HOTTAP is splash-proof and can manage a little drizzle, however, prolonged exposure to rain/water will damage the internal components. We recommend using and storing your HOTTAP in a dry place.

How much water do I need for a shower?

HOTTAP has an adjustable water flow rate between 2.5-6 LPM (0.6-1.6 GPM). So, if you want a 5-minute shower, you will use between 12.5-30 litres (3.3-8 gallons) of water.
