Specifications

What temperatures can I get with this hot tub?

Through recirculation, HOTTAP can heat your HOTTUB to around +45ºC (the safety cuts heating off at +50ºC), which is more than enough—consumer guidelines for hot tubs state that temperatures should be no higher than +40ºC.

How long does the gas last with this hot tub?

HOTTUB takes less than two hours to fill and heat, and HOTTAP lasts up to 15h on a single 9kg gas cylinder.

Why is a gas hot tub preferable to an electric spa?

HOTTAP puts out a whopping 7,000W, HOTTUB takes less than two hours to fill and heat. By comparison, an electric spa usually puts out around 1,500W, and can take up to 24h to heat.

How is this hot tub constructed?

HOTTUB is built to industrial standards, using the same fabric, glue and stitching as you will find in SUP boards and RIBs.

What’s so great about the HOTTUB/HOTTAP combination?

Even if you have a luxurious RV with hot water on tap (and a trailer for your Porsche), you need to recirculate water to keep it hot. HOTTAP does this. And, of course, it also allows you to set up your HOTTUB smack bang in the middle of wilderness—where the romance factor is maxxxed.

What’s the packed-up size of this hot tub?

HOTTUB packs down to a compact 760 x 440 x 280mm—the size of a large backpack.

How do you drain this hot tub?

HOTTUB comes with a drain port. Simply unplug and let it drain. Then tilt to get the last bit of water out.

How do I fill and heat this hot tub?

Plug HOTTAP into the red water inlet quick connection port on HOTTUB and use the river filter and pump to draw water from a natural source. Or, if you’re using HOTTUB around the house, simply connect HOTTAP to your mains water.

How do I recirculate water with this hot tub?

Once you’ve filled HOTTUB, move your HOTTAP water intake from the river filter or mains water tap, plug it into the blue water outlet port on the HOTTUB, and keep pumping away.

Do I need to use a sacrificial mat with this hot tub?

HOTTUB is made from the same material as SUP boards, high-strength PVC, and features a double-layered floor with 10mm foam insulation. The floor will remain waterproof even if you happen to puncture the bottom layer. Having said that, you naturally have to use common sense when setting up your hot tub. Make sure that you clear away any sharp sticks or rocks, etc.

Does this hot tub come with jets?

No, HOTTUB does not include jets (well, strictly speaking, there’s one jet—the hot water inlet). We’ve purposefully kept HOTTUB low-tech and durable. Jets would also require a mains power pump, which would make it impractical in an off-grid scenario. At this time we have no plans to add jets to the HOTTUB
